Teeth Whitening

Teeth WhiteningEveryone loves a bright white smile, and there are many products and procedures offered, so you may whiten your teeth.

Some people are satisfied with brushing twice daily. If you decide you would like to go beyond this to make your teeth look brighter, you should examine all of your choices.

You can take several approaches to whiten your teeth:

  • In-office teeth bleaching
  • At-home teeth bleaching
  • Whitening toothpastes
Begin by asking your dentist. Dentist would know whether teeth whitening procedure would work for you.
Teeth whitening products may not correct many types of discoloration. For example, yellow-ish hued teeth will probably bleach well, brownish-colored teeth may bleach not as good, and grayish-hued teeth may not bleach at all. Teeth bleaching may not improve your smile if you have had crowns, bonding or tooth-colored fillings placed in your front teeth. Teeth whitening procedure will not change the color of these materials, and they will stick out in your newly whitened smile. In such cases, you may choose other alternative, like porcelain veneers or dental bonding.
